At eight years old, I declared I was going to be a hairstylist—and 29 years later, I’m still living that dream every day. As co-owner of a gorgeous, thriving salon with my husband, I get to work alongside a team of incredible women who work hard, play hard, and inspire me constantly. I’m passionate about education, growth, and creating five-star experiences for every guest who walk through our doors. Coaching the next generation of beauty pros lights me up, and I’m forever grateful that my career is everything I imagined- and so much more. My heart still beats the most when I’m behind the chair servicing my guests who have supported me in my career path and meeting new guests and earn their trust. I love all things hair and beauty, and can proudly say, my strengths are well rounded, I love all hair types, lengths and colors. The ultimate question is always “what’s your favorite thing to do?” I’ve decided that with 29 years under my “tool” belt, I love it all, I believe in education, being a lifelong learner and making every guest feel special and look beautiful from the inside out. I do love a great bob, pixie, and long soft layered hair, completed by dimensional color whether in rich tones or beautiful dimensional luxury blondes. Most important a look that makes you smile and walk away singing our praises!
Jenna
Jenna is a Platinum Stylist and a Legacy Stylist at James Anthony Salon. On our team since 2006, where she has been proudly creating beautiful hair and meaningful connections. Known for her warm personality and love of a good laugh, she brings an inviting, easygoing energy to every appointment—clients leave her chair feeling lighter, brighter, and completely themselves. Jenna specializes in dimensional brunettes, crafting rich, modern color that enhances natural beauty and fits each guest’s personal style. Certified in extensions and our Cezanne Smoothing Treatment, makes her a powerhouse of a Hairstylist. Passionate about growth, Jenna is committed to continuing education and staying ahead of the latest trends, ensuring her techniques are always fresh and elevated. Her focus is on designing hair that’s not only stunning, but perfectly tailored to her guests’ lifestyles, effortless to maintain, thoughtfully customized, and made to help them feel their absolute best! Jenna is a leader on our team sharing her knowledge and energy with all who surround her.
Jim
James Anthony aka Jim, aka Jimmy, founder and owner of James Anthony Salon since 1991.Proud second generation Stylist, he continues the legacy started by his father with unmatched passion. A Hairstylist, Coach and Educator, he pours his energy into our team, our guests and the next wave of beauty professionals. His leadership, heart and love for this industry make him not only an incredible mentor, but an amazing man. With decades of experience and a commitment to excellence, he leads with heart, purpose, and an unwavering belief in the power of growth and education. Jim’s love for the industry makes everyone around him better. Partner in the Paul Mitchell School Chicago, he shares his passion and knowledge with the Future Professionals, teaching them the “what can be” how to be successful, to love what you do! Jim’s talent and skill set goes beyond coaching and mentoring, he mainly focuses on men’s haircutting and barbering, with an occasional pixie and bob, which he masters! Jim spends the majority of his time on the business side these days, but you can catch him a few days a week in the salon, always greeting guests, laughing, coaching, mentoring and creating magic!
Raz
Monika, aka Raz, has been with James Anthony Salon since 2013. Achieving Platinum Stylist level has been an accomplishment that has allowed Raz to be one of the greatest in the beauty industry. Her driving force being education and thirst for knowledge has fueled her growth and continued success, she shares daily with her guests. Raz is passionate about staying at the forefront of industry trends and techniques. Certified in extensions and our Cezanne Smoothing Treatment, this allows her guests opportunities to achieve their hair goals. Raz loves dimensional blonding, lived-in color, corrective color and seasonal transformations that bring out each guests’ best look, helping them have fun and live their best days with great hair! Raz is an adventurer by nature and is one of the many reasons she’s sought out behind the chair, her dynamic personality will help put you at ease to try that new look you’ve been craving for a while! She’s an amazing cutter as well! Her cuts have precision that allow for beautiful body and movement. Kat graduated from Paul Mitchell The School Lombard in 2016 and has never looked back! She joined the James Anthony Salon family in 2016 and quickly rose through the career path set forth for her. As a Master Stylist she is celebrated for her refined techniques, personalized approach, and commitment to creating effortlessly beautiful results. Kat specializes in fine hair, luxury blonding, and premium extensions. Her meticulous attention to detail and dedication to customization ensure each guest leaves with a look that feels both timeless and uniquely their own. Known for her warm professionalism and thorough consultations, Kat takes the time to truly understand her guests’ vision. Through ongoing education and innovation, she continues to perfect her craft and stay at the forefront of modern trends, always with a commitment to excellence.
Senior Stylists
Karla
Karla is a Senior Stylist at James Anthony Salon. As a Color Specialist, and Extension and Cezanne Smoothing Treatment Certified professional, Karla is passionate about helping guests look and feel their best through customized, high-quality hair and beauty services. Fluent in both English and Spanish, she creates an inclusive and welcoming experience for every guest. With a strong eye for detail and artistry, Karla specializes in color transformations, extensions and professional makeup—bringing each guest’s vision to life with precision and creativity. Her calm demeanor allows her to create a safe and comfortable space, yet elevated with the best service experience. Karla is one you can truly say, has a “servant’s heart” her passion and kindness shines through in all she does.
Stylists
Claudia
Claudia is a passionate and talented Stylist at James Anthony Salon. Known for her expertise in balayage, foiling and haircutting. Joining James Anthony salon in 2019, she has built a reputation on being the professional for the guest seeking sun-kissed, natural- looking hair that’s both timeless and effortlessly chic. Though she’s skilled with all hair types, Claudia has developed a particular passion for working with brunettes. She loves transforming deep rich shades or soft caramel tones, cool ashy highlights, and bold dimensional pieces. Claudia’s calming presence and attention to detail make every visit feel like a luxurious experience. Claudia is dedicated to keeping up with the latest trends and techniques, because she prides herself in delivering the best possible results with the guests ‘ happiness in mind.
Gabby
Gabby has been with the James Anthony Salon family since 2020, however her career started in the beauty industry in 2015. Gabby is a well rounded Stylist with mad barbering skills and women’s haircutting. She loves and specializes in hair extension services, works with well with diverse textured hair, adding color and gray blending and blonding services to her talents. Gabby is very kind and generous with what she gives you as her stylist, dedicated, fun and her hunger and passion for education help keep her on top of the latest trends. She enjoys sharing her knowledge with her guests, ensuring they are able to recreate their look at home. Her growth and accomplishments are a direct example of who she is. Truly a shining star!
Emily
Emily is a dedicated and talented Stylist at James Anthony Salon with a deep passion for beauty and helping our guests look and feel their best. Graduating from Tricoci University of Beauty Culture in 2021, she has continued to grow her craft through ongoing education and training. Emily specializes in hair coloring and styling, with a particular love for creating gorgeous, voluminous blowouts. Her calm and caring personality allows her to truly listen to her guests and bring their vision to life. Dedicated to excellence, Emily takes pride in providing every guest with a personalized confidence-boosting experience. Underlying these magical blowouts is her love for long hair, creating long soft layers allowing flow and movement.
Angelina
Angelina has been with James Anthony Salon since 2020, and a Stylist since 2023. She’s passionate about all things beauty and loves creating stunning blondes, soft layered haircuts and bouncy blowouts that make our guests feel confident and refreshed. Certified in extensions, Angelina loves helping guests enhance their look with added length, volume, and movement. She also specializes in makeup, updos, and bridal styling, bringing her guest’s vision to life for all their special moments. She continues to invest in ongoing education to stay up to date with the latest trends and techniques. With her fun, friendly personality and attention to detail, Angelina strives to create a comfortable and enjoyable experience for every guest who sits in her chair.
Nail Techs
Stella
Stella has been a nail tech at James Anthony Salon since 1994, and has gained the respect and loyalty of her guests by providing them with the ultimate “natural” manicure and pedicures. Stella is known in the community has the “nail doctor.” Stella’s background in working as a lab technician in a hospital in her hometown, Poland. There she specialized in bacteriology, serology, chemistry, and hematology. This kind of work, knowledge and experience, is what allows Stella to be aware and knowledgeable about the various diseases one can encounter, and is aware of the treatments that can be done. Stella continues to grow in her field by attending various trainings and certifications in the nail industry. Stella’s guests’ experience her love and passion for what she does and her belief in giving only the ultimate in customer service, by being a day maker!
Service Desk
Mara
Mara is dedicated and passionate Salon Manager with a deep love for the beauty industry. With over 30 years of experience in customer service, she thrives on creating exceptional experiences for our guests, ensuring they feel valued and pampered from the moment they step through the salon doors. “Being related to the salon owners Jim and Tina, not only gives me a unique perspective on the business but also fuels my commitment to upholding the salon’s values and mission. I take pride in fostering strong relationships with both guests and team, promoting a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.” Mara is an integral part of everything that happens at James Anthony Salon, she will assist in making everyone’s day always with a smile and kind heart.
Ariana
Ariana, a former Psychology student at NIU aims to be the best in whatever workplace she enters. With her large range of experience in customer service, Ariana is proud to be a friendly face that reflects the values of James Anthony Salon. Outside of being a Salon Coordinator, she loves to cook and listen to music. She is excited to be part of the James Anthony team and hopes her creative soul can be felt through every client interaction.
Kayla
Kayla is one our amazing Salon Coordinators at James Anthony Salon. Part of our dynamic trio, welcoming guests and servicing their beauty needs, Kayla helps keep everything running smoothly with a kind and helpful touch. Kayla joined our Team in 2024 with over 10 years’ experience working in customer service, she’s dedicated to creating a welcoming and warm atmosphere for every guest and supporting the stylists so they can focus on what they do best, create magic for our guests! Kayla will help reserve your time with our stylists with a friendly and efficient manner.
Rising Stars
Sydney
Sydney, aka Syd, is a Rising Star at James Anthony Salon. She attended cosmetology school starting her junior year of high school and graduated with high honors, both from OPRF Highschool and Cosmetology in 2025. Her dedication and hard work is noted in all she accomplishes. Syd is a passionate young woman ready to put her mark on life and her career. She’s a natural talent and often assists the Stylist’s at James Anthony Salon with their blowouts, color applications and toners. While quickly finishing up the Rising Star training program, Syd will help wash away your stress in the Lather Lounge, where she hones her skills with the most relaxing 10 minute shampoo experience. Violet
Kelly
Kelly has been a part of the James Anthony Salon Team since 2023. Along with holding her cosmetology degree, she also earned an associate’s degree in cosmetology and is finishing up the salon’s intensive Rising Star training program. Kelly loves creating beautiful transformations through highlights, color, haircuts and blowouts. Passionate about continuing education, she’s always learning new techniques and putting her skills to use behind the chair to give each guest a fresh, personalized look. With her dedication to growth and love for her craft, Kelly strives to make every client feel confident, cared for and excited about their hair!
Shelly
Shelly is a vibrant, hardworking, dedicated professional! Not only is she a licensed cosmetologist, she is also an active working nurse. Both career paths, are in the service industry, while healing the inside of a person as a nurse, helping heal the outside of someone’s appearance, helping them look and feel their best! Shelly’s outlook on life is admirable and inspiring! She is currently working her way through the Rising Star program at James Anthony Salon, where she is learning many different techniques in color and cuts helping her become a strong and well rounded Hairstylist. “I’m in love with everything hair color, whether it’s bold color, gloss, or subtle highlights that helps transform you and make you. feel brand new!” Shelly’s excited to continue learning and growing to help bring the best to you our guests!
Jane
Jane is a recent graduate of Paul Mitchell The School-Chicago ,eager to pursue her career as future stylist at James Anthony Salon. As a Rising Star she provides excellent support to stylists and a warm, welcoming presence to our guests. She executes wonderful blow-dries and provides the guest with knowledge of products and routines that fit their lifestyle and hair needs. A bright future awaits for her in the beauty industry.
Assistants
Our Assistants are the heart of the back of the house in our salon! They assist in helping create a magical experience for our guests! You can find them in our Lather Lounge, where they are “the experts” at the Luscious Lather, a 10min. Shampoo Experience that will help relax and pamper you!
Mariella
Mariella is a valued Legacy Assistant at James Anthony Salon, celebrated for her exceptional guest service and “special touch” during the salon’s signature complimentary “Luscious Lather Experience” she will lull you to sleep in the 10 minute retreat. Mariella started in the family business 13 plus years ago, when she worked the service desk at Paul Mitchell The School Chicago, leading her to a management role at SalonJAS before joining the James Anthony Salon Team. Known for her kind heart, fun banter and attention to detail in helping guests feel appreciated and welcome. She helps keep the salon tidy and looking its best for everyone to enjoy! Mariella lives her life to the fullest and always with a giving heart.
